You have a fresh new blowout, you’re looking good, but how do we avoid ruining it while we sleep? In this case scrunchies or an Invisibobble hair tie will be your best friend. Before going to bed put your hair in a loose bun at the top of your head and if you use a silk or satin pillowcase that will help as well with frizz. To avoid the hair from falling flat in the shower due to moisture use a terrycloth-lined shower cap.
Day 2:
You’re starting to lose that luxurious volume you had on the first day. To maintain that beautiful shine while lifting up those roots reach for a light-hold hairspray, such as the Amika Fluxus Touchable Hairspray. Use this on the roots, flip your head upside down, and gently brush the roots.
Day 3:
Your roots are getting oily. This is when you introduce your roots to a good dry shampoo like the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo. To avoid that white film hold the bottle 12 to 14 inches away from your root. Once you’ve sprayed in sections use your finger tips to massage it in. This will absorb oil at the scalp and give your hair more body.
Day 4:
Repeat day 3 if necessary. If you don’t get blowouts on a weekly basis your hair has to be trained to stop producing oils soon after you’ve had a shampoo. Adding the Amika Siken Up Dry Conditioner is a great product to refresh your blowout. Apply it mid-shaft to ends gently comb through and you have frizz free soft hair.
Day 5 and 6:
These two days you have the option of going to get another blowout, but some of us have a busy schedule and don’t have the time. There’s a few tricks you can use. Slick your hair up to a high pony a go to product to use for that shiny sleek pony is the Amika Plus Size Perfect Body Mousse combined with the Kérastase Elixir Ultime L’huile Originale serum for shine and control. For those stubborn fly aways the Amika Headstrong Intense Hold Hairspray is a good fix.
Day 7:
Ok my dear I think it’s time to see your stylist. Book an appointment at Blowout Rules and bring your hair back to life.
